Post-apocalyptic Goat herder

2/2 [of the post-apocalyptic series]

Two-headed Hell-goat

1/2 [of the post-apocalyptic series], originally intended to walk besides the 'post-apocalyptic goat herder' in an overgrown, post-apocalyptic, ruined Amsterdam cityscape. The project was a bit too ambitious to tackle alone so I settled on displaying them individually.

Battle Bunny

I intended this character to be the first part of my 3D portfolio, where I show my knowledge of the pipeline and my understanding of the technical steps that need to be taken to get an asset ready for game engines.

Note: listen to the Game-over OST below

In 2019-2020, we were made aware about these giant bushfires happening in Australia. The fires got so bad they nicknamed it The Black Summer. Obviously, a lot of lives were lost, but we were most struck by the animals and in particular the koala, because of their slow nature and inability to escape.Together with childhood friend and game developer Boudewijn Bauw, I made an endless-runner type game where you play as a Koala but are extremely agile and capable. You have the ability to dodge, slide and destroy any object in your way. The game gets progressively harder as you keep playing, endlessly going on until your inevitable demise (coins the term endless-runner). Cameo by a playable kangaroo included. This game marked the first step for both of us towards the game industry.

Studyflow [Serious gaming]

My first real job doing art. Around ~2015 and the years that followed, I designed an avatar-type game system for an education app called Studyflow.High-school students would earn gold coins through treasure chests every time they finished a task in the app. With those gold coins, the students customized their own birds and fishes to their liking.
